Experimentation Platform is a team with a mission of accelerating innovation in search using a data driven approach. Our team builds the Bing online experimentation (AB testing) platform to enable the Bing organization run thousands of experiments. We work closely with most of the feature teams within Bing as well as with key partners (Xbox, MSN, WP7, Nokia, Yahoo, Bing Mobile) to enable them to go from idea inception to testing their features in production with real users as fast as possible. You will be writing clever algorithms to optimize the way we use our user traffic for experimentation and working on identifying and removing barriers for teams to experiment quickly.
We are looking for a strong developer to play a fundamental role in architecting, designing, implementing and deploying the next version of our Bing Experimentation Platform. The experimentation platform you will develop will be used across the entire Bing stack, so you will get exposure to complex networking/distributed systems problems across client side libraries, rendering layers, all the way down to the data interfaces. Qualifications
Outstanding coding skills in C++ and/or C#
Great design and problem solving skills, with a strong bias for quality and engineering excellence at scale.
Great written and verbal communication
Great cross group collaboration skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (PhD preferred)
6+ years of relevant industry experience
Experience in any of the following areas is a plus: web instrumentation/analytics, AB Testing, distributed online systems,
