Bing is transforming from a search engine into a knowledge engine. We can now directly answer questions such as “What’s the highest mountain in the world?”, and “Who won the Super Bowl in 2001?” Would you like to be part of the Entity Understanding and Recommendations team that powers the knowledge in Bing? We are a small, agile, and fast-paced team that works on all aspects of the entity experiences. In addition to Bing, our technologies are also shipped into core parts of Windows.
We are looking for passionate developers and applied researchers who enjoy working on hard, ambiguous problems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in probabilities and statistics, experience in C#, C++, or Java, and experience with machine learning, data mining, or NLP is a plus. We are also looking for creative individuals who can re-imagine what a knowledge graph powered search can become.
Requirements for the position:
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent. M.S. or Ph.D. a plus.
- Well-grounded in mathematics/probabilities/statistics. ML, data mining, NLP experience a plus.
- Strong problem solving and coding skills, C#, C++, Java, or similar.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies. Experience with distributed systems a plus.
- Solid communication skills
