SMB Bing Search Evangelist

The Bing Search Evangelist is responsible for communicating the value and effectiveness of BING/Bing Ads to the local market. The mission is to drive platform and tool adoption through direct evangelism to influential partners, community engagement and quality interaction with key thought leaders throughout the local market. This role will act as a trusted advisor and a search advocate for internal Microsoft Advertising account teams to position Microsoft’s commitment to the search marketplace. The Search Evangelist will also maximize success with regional advertising partners through effective use of best practices while leveraging market/vertical data to determine strategies that drive increased share for BING and Bing Ads.
The successful candidate will have an established reputation for significant search functional knowledge, superior presentation skills, effective and visible community participation and a strong command of online and social networking tools. You will have the ability to work closely with other Bing Ads Evangelists, our creative director, and writer to craft stories that fit the Bing brand and position us in the industry.
Core Responsibilities:
• Speak at Industry Conferences. Create and deliver persuasive, passionate, high impact, high quality presentations via various local and national event channels such as ClickZ Live, Search Insider Summit, SMX, client Executive Briefings, and many other forums. These speaking placements are earned, you will need to create and pitch content which is reviewed by conference organizers.
• Write expert content that’s thoughtfully broken down and articulated for industry publications.
• Engage with the Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Professionals Community.
• Participate actively in the local search community through blogs, newsletters, meetings and social networking vehicles.
• Drive adoption of new features and the Bing Ads platform.
• Build and maintain high-quality relationships with industry leaders and leadership at Search agencies.
• Be a consultative partner to Microsoft Advertising account teams, including AEs, Global Account Directors, and District Managers, by engaging on a regular basis to educate, provide updates, align on account plans, identify opportunities, leverage Search insights to drive revenue, and evangelize Bing’s unique value prop in the marketplace.
• Act as a main point of contact for industry experts for issue resolution for strategic customers.
• Develop a regular rhythm to synthesize voice of the customer feedback to help inform future features, functionality and prioritization for Bing Ads
Requirements:
• Expert level knowledge of online media and Search Engine Marketing; including minimum 5 years of relevant media sales, service, engineering, or program management experience
• Minimum 2 years search engine marketing or search engineering related experience (5 years of experience)
• Bing Ads experience preferred
• Proven ability to engage within the search marketing community through expert written content or long track record of building relationships
• Positive, can-do spirit and passion for search, digital marketing, and technology
• Expert public speaking capability, able to represent Bing and Bing Ads internally and externally
• Experience establishing and nurturing mid to senior-level, long term relationships with digital marketing executives and community thought leaders
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt quickly to new business directions and goals
• Proven track record of exceptional performance, high productivity and meeting deadlines
