Search Technology Center Asia (STCA)
STCA was founded in year 2005 and is now starting the second “Five-Year Plan” after the merge with the Ads Platform Center in 2011. The team has not only built up its strengths and expanded its scope, but also set a shared goal, broadened its vision, and equipped with richer resources that gives the team the confidence to scale new heights.
STCA is now focusing on the following areas: the continuous exploration of Bing search technology; the technical innovation of online advertisement services; the development of the MSN social platform; and the development of mobile search applications. Today, STCA has hundreds of excellent employees and is the largest R&D team of the Microsoft Online Service Division outside the United States.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Bing Client team builds innovative clients (windows desktop, tablets, Pad, mobile, etc) to bring value to global users, powered by rich information of Bing. We need strong talents to lead our team member to reach our goal.
While the battle for web page based search and ads is still going on, we think the next frontier is in the clients - Windows desktop, tablets, surface, pads, and other devices which are carried by people around the world.
The dev lead will lead a team of developers to design, implement, and deliver one or more Bing clients. This is your opportunity to own end-to-end of a product. This is your opportunity to work on highly visible applications which will be the differentiators of Bing search engine.
This is a fun and fast paced environment and a great opportunity to work on something highly strategic to Microsoft.
Candidates are expected to have following qualifications:
Love to design and write great code, passion for shipping software to win the love of customers.
Enjoy agile development and small team informal working style.
Ability to recover from failures is strongly preferred, tendency of avoidance of failure is not required.
With great technical passion, terrific problem-solving skills, drive for results, and ability to work independently
Good communication and cross-team skills
Experiences in leading, motivating and coaching people
Fluent in one of the major programming languages: C, C++, C#
Significant experiences in one of the following areas : Windows application development, distributed systems, Web development and networking
Minimum 4 year software development experiences, being thru 2 release cycles in MS. Bachelor degree in computer science or a related field is required.
The job location is in Beijing China, but Chinese language is not required for this job.
